Maruti Fronx facelift is coming

Spy shots reveal a substantially refreshed compact SUV with sharper styling and a major safety upgrade. The changes go beyond a typical mid-cycle refresh, signalling Maruti's aggressive response to rivals adding features faster than ever.

Bolder front end, sharper character

The grille is now larger and more angular with a pronounced character line. Redesigned LED headlamps, reworked bumper with aggressive lower section, and new alloy wheel designs make the Fronx look more contemporary against Venue, Sonet, and Nexon.

ADAS tech is the game-changer

A forward-facing camera on the windscreen hints at Advanced Driver Assistance Systems—rare in this segment. Expect autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Neither Venue nor Sonet offer ADAS standard, making this a genuine competitive edge.

Cabin gets modern refresh too

Larger, higher-resolution touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and improved material quality are likely. Better climate control, power windows, and automatic headlamps should reach more variants. The dated interior finally gets a proper update.

Same engines, proven reliability

The 1.2L petrol (83 PS, 113 Nm) and 1.2L diesel (75 PS, 190 Nm) continue unchanged. Manual and automatic transmissions stay. No hybrid planned yet, though Maruti's hybrid push elsewhere leaves room for future consideration.

Pricing stays competitive, mostly

Current Fronx ranges ₹7.5–₹11 lakh ex-showroom. Facelift may add ₹30,000–₹50,000 premium for new tech and styling. On-road prices in metros will vary by local taxes and dealer margins, but value proposition should hold.

Launch expected late 2024 or early 2025

Spy shots circulating now suggest unveiling within months. Maruti's typical 3–4 year update cycle aligns perfectly—current Fronx launched 2023. Official specs and pricing will reveal whether ADAS and cabin quality justify the refresh.
